Although there seems to be a great deal of controversy surrounding the S
ilver and Charcoal Labradors at this time, it is our firm belief that the Silver and Charcoals are not only a beautiful and striking dog on the outside, but they also possess the identical temperament and abilities of the Yellow, Black or Chocolate Labrador. Each litter contains different personalities, as does every litter of every breed and the Silver Labrador is no exception, there are puppies in each litter that are better suited to the environment that meets their unique personality, we believe it is the responsibility of the breeder to make sure the placement suits both the buyer’s and the puppies needs. Labrador we have encountered does in fact exhibit true sweetness, loyalty, a love for family and a desire to please. With proper care, socialization and training the Silver and/or Charcoal Labrador makes a most loyal and devoted companion. The AKC’s stand on the Silver Labrador, the fact that all of our Silver’s have pedigrees going back three and five generations that contain DNA tested Labradors and foremost, the overall build and temperament of the dog itself is proof positive that the Silver Labrador, as well as the Charcoal, is in fact, simply, a fantastic, gorgeous and healthy addition to any family.
Dances With Dogs Retrievers ultimate and progressive goal is to continue to improve the breed standard, but the most important aspect of this goal is to breed a Labrador Retriever or Golden Retriever for temperament and disposition, to bring happiness and companionship to their human.
